Transportation
Every year we handle tens of thousands of containers moving within Georgia and across United States. Whether you need drayage at the Port of Savannah, multiple containers shipped cross-country, or anything in between, Savannah River Logistics is the experienced, reliable transportation specialist you can trust. We have a fleet of more than 75 trucks and established partnerships with multiple regional and nationwide carriers to efficiently move and secure your cargo. Standard containers, reefers, hazmat, overweight or over-dimensional – we have the team and equipment to handle it all.
Port Drayage
Savannah River Logistics is committed to earning your trust. That begins with our foundational service, port drayage. The goal of our dispatchers and drivers is to move your goods from the port to a nearby warehouse as efficiently, safely and reliably as possible.
Regional Drayage
We service the Port of Savannah and the Port of Charleston for deliveries into Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. We can service further lanes where needed.
3PL
For destinations outside the Savannah area, and the broader management of your supply chain challenges, we offer third-party logistics (3PL) services. From long-distance hauling to inventory and distribution, Savannah River Logistics has you covered at the port and across the country.
Hazmat
Savannah River Logistics is certified to transport hazardous materials, with specially trained and experienced HAZMAT drivers. You can rest assured dangerous cargo will be handled with care and in strict compliance with all applicable regulations.
Bonded
In certain situations, customers need a bonded carrier to ensure compliance with customs, taxes and duties at the terminal destination of goods. Savannah River Logistics offers bonded trucking and the know-how to help you navigate the process without undue cost.
Box Trucks and Vans
For smaller loads and short-to-medium distance transport, Savannah River Logistics offers box trucks and vans with lift gates. No matter the size, we offer the right vehicle for the job.
Overweight and over-dimensional
Savannah River Logistics can handle your overweight containers, flat racks, open top containers and other difficult to handle cargo. Our trained professionals are certified in rigging export loads and transload heavy cargo for import loads.
