Truck Driver
Meet all requirements of Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Minimum age is 23 years old.
- Must have three (3) years verifiable driving experience, (3) years if under 25 years of age.
- Valid Class A CommercialDriver’s License with or without hazmat endorsements from state of residency.
- Must have legal right to work in US.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English effectively.
- Meet physical criteria as set forth by the Federal government in CFR49, Parts 382 & 391.
- No prior failed nor refusal(s) of completing an FMCSA Drug or alcohol test
- No more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years.
- No careless or reckless driving convictions within last 3 years.
- No suspension or revocation of license resulting from moving violations, excessive points or accidents in the previous 5 years.
- No more than 1 preventable accident during the previous 3 years that caused a fatality, serious injury, or vehicle(s) transported away from scene by tow truck or other vehicle.
- Must have an acceptable PSP (Pre-Employment Screening) report of three (3) previous years.
- Must have home telephone number or cellular telephone wheredriver can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
- Ability to obtain or already possesses a TWIC card
- Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and current (DOT) physical before employment.
- Ability to hook and unhook tractor-trailer; including pulling fifth wheel pin.
- Knowledge of shipping documents and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Must be physically capable of securing and disconnecting intermodal twist locks as required and be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded for safe transportation, which includes gross and axleweight and the proper placement and removal of placards where applicable
- Hours of service are in accordance with FMCSR, Part 395.3 (a)(2), 70 hours in 8 days.
- Contractor Lease agreement will require a valid vehicle Federal Annual Inspection within 30 days or a new Inspection shall be required.
